Compressor Pre-install: I removed the handle so it fits in a smaller space.
I thought about installing it next to my master brake cylinder/ABS pump but that is pretty tight space in there. Secondly I thought about next to my air filter but would have had to relocate the air fitting and not so sure how well the compressor would like water.
Where I finally decided to place to compressor:
I ditched the old ghetto wood mounting plate and switched it with a 16 gauge steel plate I made:
