This is my passanger side which basically looked identical to my drivers side before I did any work to it:

This is my drivers side after I have used a grinder to get rid of most of the rust and a sander to smoothen it out:
After I cleaned up the sliders to get rid of all of the rust and metal shavings I taped off the area:
This is after a couple coats of primer and a few coat of regular black paint:
