My Panasonic deck decided to quit playing CD's in late '05 so I decided to spend $180 in an MP3 player to replace the one I broke instead of buying a new deck until I can afford the one I want.
I fabricated a mount out of 16 gauge steel which allows the belt clip to attach to the mount and keep it in place. The mount is held in place by velcro so I can remove/move it if someone shorter drives (Yeah right...) when they move the seat up.
I ran the line out (speaker jack to RCA) under my center console up to the deck (lots of wire left over) and ran the power cable from my DC-AC inverter which is under my passanger seat to come up right next to the Zen Micro as well so it is constantly powered.
Cool thing is that the power cable is just a USB power cable so my friends are able to charge their mp3 players (assuming that is how they charge) from the same connections.
